This page explains what the JOGO Fuel website (and, later, the JOGO Fuel app) collects about you, why, who can see it, and what you can do about it. JOGO Fuel is run by JOGO. It follows JOGO's privacy policy and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

Who is responsible

The person responsible for the protection of personal information at JOGO is the founder of JOGO. Write to privacy@thejogoapp.com for any question, request or complaint. We answer within 30 days.

What we collect, and why

  • Visiting the site: nothing about you. The calculators run in your browser; what you type in them is not sent to us unless you press "Save to My Fuel". We use no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. Our host (Vercel) keeps short technical logs (IP address, browser, page) to run and protect the site.
  • Waitlist: your email, the page you joined from, your browser language and the date, only to email you when Fuel opens.
  • Your account: Fuel uses your JOGO account (email and password, or Google if you choose it). Creating an account on Fuel creates a JOGO account. JOGO's privacy policy covers that account.
  • Your Fuel profile: sex, birth year, height, activity level, goal, goal weight and the daily targets worked out from them, used to calculate your targets.
  • Your progress: the weights you log, with any notes, the progress photos you choose to add, and the calculator results you save, used to show your trend, progress and tips.
  • In your browser: your sign-in session, and a calculator result waiting to be saved. This stays on your device.

Sensitive information and your consent

Your body details, weight and photos are sensitive information. Fuel only keeps them after you tick a box agreeing to it, and only to give you targets and show your progress. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting your Fuel data (see below).

Who can see it

Only you. Your Fuel data is not shown in JOGO, not shown to other people, not sold, and not used for advertising. Progress photos are stored privately: they open only through links that expire after one hour, and nobody at JOGO looks at them. The "Using JOGO Fuel" mention on your JOGO profile is off unless you turn it on, and it never shows your numbers.

JOGO staff only access your data when you ask us to, to fix a problem with your account, or when the law requires it. We use these providers to run Fuel: Supabase (accounts, database and photo storage), Vercel (website hosting) and Google (only if you sign in with Google). Your information may be stored and processed outside Quebec, in Canada or the United States, by these providers, who protect it under their own security and privacy commitments.

How long we keep it

  • Your Fuel profile, weights, photos and saved results: until you delete them or your account.
  • When you delete your Fuel data or your JOGO account: removed at once from the database; photo files are erased by our cleanup within 30 days.
  • Waitlist: until Fuel opens and we have emailed you, or until you ask us to remove you.

Your rights

You can see, correct, download and delete your information. On the My Fuel page: edit your profile, delete any weight entry, "Download my data" (a file with everything Fuel keeps about you) and "Delete my Fuel data". For anything else, or if you cannot sign in, email privacy@thejogoapp.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

Age

JOGO Fuel is for people 14 and over. From 14 to 17, Fuel sets a weight-loss target only when BMI for age is above the healthy range, and then a gentler one with a higher calorie floor; it does not offer progress photos.

Security

Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database rules let each account reach only its own Fuel data, and photos sit in private storage. No system is perfect: if a breach ever puts your information at risk, we will tell you and Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.

Health

Fuel gives general information for healthy people, not medical advice. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating, talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before changing how you eat.

Changes

If we change this page in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email before the change applies.
